People that don’t work in the entertainment business often wonder how those that do are able to cope with the lifestyle. There are times when performers don’t know when their next pay cheque will arrive or if they will be paid at all.
They normally have to attend lots of auditions, meetings and castings which can make it impossible to have a normal job during the day as the appointments are often during the day. So you’ll see lots of actors, musicians and dancers working in bars and restaurants to free up their daytime activities.
It can be a tough lifestyle but performers do it because it is often the only thing that can make them feel good in that way. There are other things that they enjoy doing as well but often there is nothing that can replace performing and the excitement that it gives them. Anything that is exciting is hard to give up and so it is with performing.
