Emergency Survival – Looking into the Future

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

It is now a well known fact that 2011 was the costliest year for natural disasters. The earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan on March 13, the tornado that ripped thru Joplin, Missouri on May 22 and the major flooding that occurred in Australia in mid January of that year are only a few of the many natural disasters that came about in 2011. What does it all mean?

Many Bible prophecy experts say that 2011 was only the beginning, that we should expect more to the same as the world begins to experience the end times. Further many believe that we are living in the end times and the Bible predicts a new world order will manifest itself as we step forward into the future. What to do?

Prepare to go into emergency survival mode. Survival experts suggest that concerned individuals get together will like minded people and store up a four to six month supply of food and water in order to enable themselves to survive the coming onslaught. This is not about fear, it is about heeding the advice of knowledgeable experts in emergency survival and biblical prophecy. Prepare now…Survive later.

Parents Concerned That Googles Eco-Buses Pose a Danger to Children

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

As we move further and further into this next century, we’re beginning to see a veritable battle between environmental friendliness and safety. For every vocal supporter of hybrid cars that talk about its low fuel cost and relative quiet, there’s somebody on the other side talking about a higher danger of fire or a risk to pedestrians who can’t hear the car coming.

As a car accident lawyer in San Jose, I find this debate to be an important one as we continue to grow as a society, and this next story illustrates on a small scale the complications of becoming a green society.

In Los Gatos, residents are up in arms because they feel that the increased prevalence of buses manned by Google poses a threat to the safety of school children.

Google has set up a program in which local residents can catch a Google bus in the morning to get an eco-friendly shared ride up to Google’s headquarters in Mountain View. However, parents in the area have taken umbrage with the fact that the buses stop in a school zone. There’s a report of one child having to go around the bus and into the street because the large vehicle impeded his progress.

A local traffic sergeant has sought to end the dilemma by contacting a local church where Google employees have parked their cars. That church has given the okay for Google to pull into the parking lot instead of the no-parking zone on the road, and now all that remains is for Google to agree.

As a San Jose personal injury lawyer, I understand the importance of going green. Google estimates that their bus program has ensured that 2,000 fewer vehicles travel on Bay Area streets per day. The buses themselves use bio-diesel. However, in going green, we need to also make sure that we’re not simply replacing old hazards with new ones.

Cutting Down on Paper by Shredding

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

Paper shredding Denver is a great way for you to cut down on the amount of paper that you have around your office. Most companies receive a lot of papers each day, and there are a lot of papers that you will not need to keep. However, if some of these papers have sensitive information on them, then it is not safe for you to just throw them into the recycling bin. You will have to make sure that those documents are shredded to ensure that the sensitive information cannot be read by other people. Of course, there will be a lot of papers that you can recycle right away, such as junk mail. If you have a question about if you should have a document shredded or not, then it would probably be a good idea for you to shred it just in case. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Air Pollutant: Types and Common Sources

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

Air Pollutant is a harmful substance that can be found in the air that we breathe. Air contaminants can be in gas forms, liquid or solid particles. They can be natural or induced by human activities. There two major categories of pollutants, the primary and secondary. Primary pollutants refer to substances directly produced by a certain activity like the carbon monoxide emitted by road transports, ash produced by volcanic activity or sulfur dioxide gas coming from industries. On the other hand, secondary contaminants are not released directly but rather developed when principal contaminants react with oxygen or other substances in the air. These harmful substances are normally derived from human activities: like gaseous emissions from motor vehicles, fossil fueled power plants, industries, garbage disposals, and coal burning sites. Other sources are quarrying, mining and construction. The major air contaminants are nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide. The foremost are produced by high temperature ignition. It appears as a brown mist dome overhead. This toxic gas is characterized by harsh and stinging odor while the latter is odorless, non-annoying and has no odor but highly poisonous. It is a result of partial combustion of fuel.

Some Kitchen Cabinet Color Ideas

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

If you like the classic / traditional look, use yellow. Keep the tone soft so the effect is more subdued. This is a nice contrast to the darkness of most wood colors. Yellow brightens the area and matches well with white and other colors.

Blue isn’t something you usually see in the kitchen. But with the right shade, it will conjure up images of Italian kitchens. Choose a bright clear shade for a more appealing look. Blue is best paired with ceramics. If there aren’t any windows in the kitchen, use white. It will brighten everything up. White looks great with steel appliances.

White is perfect for kitchens with a modern look. Add some wood color if the white dominates the area too much. You can also use beige, sand and light brown. If you want a sophisticated look, use white and blue. They work well with appliances made of glass and steel.
